The Whittle School & Studio’s first North American campus is nestled on 13.7 wooded acres in northwest D.C., offering the feel of a “school in a park” within an urban setting. Renzo Piano and his team reimagined the interior of the 20th-century building, originally designed by architect John Andrews. The campus features a bright public entry with views into three performance spaces, five glass-enclosed courtyards transformed into student commons, and a sustainable, LEED Silver Certified design that fosters learning and growth.
